Due to the low birth rate, the club's management had to decide to merge with FC Sulzberg in 2006. After 4 years of working together, the two clubs have decided to go their separate ways again. The FC Doren had to start again in the last league, i.e. the 5th national treasury. After four promotions in 5 years, the club plays in the first national class for the 2016/2017 season. In 2014, the Spengerlei und Dachdeckerei Manfred Baldauf joined the association as the main sponsor. Henceforth the club is called FC Baldauf Doren.
