Adolph Tackert

Adolph Tackert , also Adolf Tackert (born September 2, 1831 in Hagenow , † September 3, 1911 in Schwerin ; full name: Adolph Christian Alexander Tackert ) was a German forest manager.

Life

Adolph Tackert was born as the son of the official registrar Adolph Friedrich Christian Tackert. One brother was the mayor of Schwerin, Karl Tackert . After attending high school in Rostock from 1847 to 1850, he completed a forestry apprenticeship in Gelbensande by 1853 . In 1853/54 he attended the forest academies in Tharandt and Gießen . After completing his studies, Adolph Tackert worked from 1855 to 1862 in the Warin , Gelbensande, Goldberg , Bützow , Lassan , Lutheran and Dargun forests . In 1862 he switched to the Schwerin surveying commission as a forest geometer . From 1872 to 1884 he worked as a forester in Quast . In 1884 Tackert was appointed forest inspector and was chairman of the forest surveying and forest management commission until 1903. In 1893 he received the title of forest master. In 1903 he retired. On this occasion he received the house order of the Wendish Crown .

From 1867 he was a forestry expert in the Schwerin Citizens' Committee. In 1873 Adolph Tackert was one of the founding members of the Mecklenburgischer Forstwirte Association , of which he was secretary from 1873 to 1877. From 1881 to 1891 he was its second chairman. He was also a member of the Mecklenburg Geometer Association and from 1903 a member of the Association for Mecklenburg History and Archeology .
