Adrián López Rodríguez , called Piscu (born February 25, 1987 in Teverga or A Coruña , Spain ) is a Spanish football player who is under contract with Aarhus GF . He plays in the position of defender and defensive midfielder.
Career
Piscu started his career in 2001 in the youth academy of the Spanish club Deportivo La Coruña . He was trained there until 2006. Then Piscu received a contract for the club's second team. From the 2007/08 season Piscu came on September 30, 2007 in the game against RCD Mallorca for the first time for the first team of Deportivo La Coruña, which was playing in the highest Spanish football league, the Primera División , at the time . From the 2008/09 season, Piscu received a professional contract and has since been part of the professional team.
At Deportivo Piscu could not prevail as a regular player. While he still had 15 appearances in the transition season 2007/08, he came only eight times in the seasons 2008/09 (one goal in the game against Valencia CF ) and only three times in 2009/10. In the summer of 2010 there were disagreements regarding the contractual terms between the club and Piscu. Deportivo had extended the contract by drawing a contract option, but Piscu considered himself to be without a club and trained with the English first division club Wigan Athletic . During the winter break of the 2010/11 season he left the Spanish club following a decision by the FIFA World Cup and switched to the English first division team on December 31, 2010.
In Wigan, too, Piscu did not get beyond the role of substitute player. In his first season for Athletic in the English Premier League , he came only to one use against Manchester City . In the two following seasons 2011/12 and 2012/13 he came on five missions each.
Following the 2012/13 season, he left Wigan Athletic and switched to the Canadian franchise Montreal Impact during the current 2013 MLS season to strengthen the Canadians on the defensive. However, he did not make a breakthrough in Montreal either: After his appearance in the CONCACAF Champions League against CD Heredia Jaguares from Guatemala , in which he saw the red card after a rough foul , he injured his right knee in training, so that he for failed the rest of the 2013 season and could not complete a league game with the Canadians. In the 2014 and 2015 seasons , he did not appear in Major League Soccer .
In July 2015 he left Montreal Impact to strengthen the Aarhus GF on the defensive.
