Adrian Beier the Younger, also Adrian Beyer (born January 29, 1634 in Jena ; † May 12, 1712 ibid) was a German lawyer.

Life

Adrian Beier the Younger was born as the son of the Jena archdeacon Adrian Beier the Elder of the same name . He studied in his hometown, then matriculated at the University of Leipzig , the University of Wittenberg , the University of Rostock and then moved to Leyden to study law.

Returned to Jena, he received his doctorate in law in 1658. He then became court attorney in 1670 , and in 1678 syndic of his hometown. In 1681 he became an associate professor at the university and in 1693 a full professor of law. In addition, he took over the Schöppenstuhl as an assessor in the court . Beier also took part in the organizational tasks of the Salana and was rector of the Alma Mater in the summer semester of 1696 and 1705 .

During his time, he wrote not only general work on general law, but also statements on craft law and gave technological books on tools, workshops, the goods produced by the craftsmen and a "general trade, art, mining and craft lexicon". With this he earned his reputation as a craftsman lawyer that lasted until the 18th century.
