Adryan Oliveira Tavares (born October 8, 1994 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

Club career

As a teenager, Adryan played for Flamengo Rio de Janeiro . For the first division season 2011 he was then brought to the professional team. During the season he was once in the squad without being used. Although Manchester United showed interest in the talent in the summer of 2011, Adryan stayed in Brazil. During the next season he developed into an important force and made his debut for the first team against Atlético Goianiense on July 1, 2012 at the age of 17, where he immediately scored his first goal. He was used a total of 23 times this year, seven times he started in the starting XI. He also scored two goals and gave four assists.

At the beginning of April 2013 he extended his contract with Flamengo prematurely until 2016. In the 2013 season, however, he lost his place in the team and was rarely used.

Nevertheless, the Italian first division club Cagliari Calcio announced in January 2014 that they would sign Adryan. He received a loan agreement dated until summer 2015, including an option to buy. On February 1 of the same year he made his Serie A debut in a game against Fiorentina . After the half year in which he came to a total of five appearances in the league (no goal), the club ended the loan deal prematurely due to an injury to Adryans.

Shortly before the end of the transfer period, he moved to English second division Leeds United on August 30, 2014 . He agreed a one-year loan deal with a purchase option with Adryan's parent club Flamengo. He made his competitive debut for Leeds on October 17, 2014. He played a total of twelve league games in the season in England, but could not move the club officials with his performances to a final transfer.

In the summer break of 2015 he was awarded to the first division club FC Nantes in France . The club also secured a purchase option. In July 2016, Adryan returned to Flamengo.

On July 2, 2017, the move from Adryan to Switzerland to FC Sion became known. The contract had a term of three years.

In August 2019, Adryan was loaned to Kayserispor in Turkey . After Adryan played his last game in October 2019, he moved back to his home country in February 2020. Here he signed a contract with Avaí FC , which will compete in Série B in 2020 .

National team career

Adryan went from the U-15 to all youth national teams in Brazil. With the U-17 juniors , he first took part in the South American Championship in 2011 and later that year in the World Championship , both of which took place in Ecuador. In the first tournament, which his team was able to win, he was used eight times and scored three goals. At the U-17 World Cup he was on the field in six of the seven games and scored five goals.

In 2013 he was part of the U-20 national team during the South American Championship in Argentina and played three games (no goal) until Brazil was eliminated after the first group stage.

Style of play

The 1.74 m tall and 71 kg heavy Adryan, who is characterized by experts as an unfinished talent, prefers to play the role of playmaker . His strengths lie in his ball handling and passing strength.
