The Aero A.24 was a three-legged biplane built by the Czech aircraft manufacturer Aero, designed as a bomb plane .

history

The A.24 was developed by Aero in 1924 as a heavy twin-engine bomber .

In test flights, however, the test model with the Maybach -Mb.IV engines proved to be extremely cumbersome, so that series production did not take place.

construction

The Aero A.24 was a three-handled biplane. The fuselage was built in a mixed construction of wood and metal, the structure was covered with fabric. The wings of the same length consisted of a fabric-covered wooden structure; all surfaces were provided with an aileron each.

The landing gear consisted of a four-wheeled main landing gear, with the two pairs of wheels each being attached under the engine pods, and a rigid tail spur.
