The Aero Ae270 is a passenger or cargo aircraft with a pressurized cabin that was developed by the Czech company Aero . It arose from the original high-wing L-270 project. The first flight of the machine took place on July 25, 2000. The aircraft is being produced by a joint venture company from Aero with AIDC from Taiwan . AIDC (Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation) manufactures the wings and landing gear .

The Ae270P Ibis version is equipped with a Pratt & Whitney Canada engine. The avionics come from Allied-Signal Bendix / King.

In 2006 the certification according to FAR Part 23 and 36 took place.
