Affonso Gonçalves

Affonso Gonçalves (* in Brazil ) is a Brazilian film editor .

Affonso Gonçalves studied at the London Film School and then at the American Film Institute . He has worked as an editor for film and television since the mid-1990s and has so far been involved in more than 40 productions.

For the episode Who Goes There of the series True Detective he received the Eddie Award of the American Cinema Editors in 2014 and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy. For the film Carol he was nominated for the Satellite Award in 2015 and the Chlotrudis Award in 2016 .
