Ebenezer Afriyie Acquah (born January 5, 1992 in Sunyani ) is a Ghanaian football player .
Career
society
Acquah began his career at Glentoran Football Academy in Sunyani . The Glentoran FA is organized and administered by Northern Ireland's Glentoran FC as an international youth academy. After a stint in the youth team of the Ashanti Gold Club , he came to Ashfield Boys High School in Belfast, Northern Ireland with the help of the FIFA agent and founder of the Glentoran FA, Christopher Antoh Forsythe . After four months he returned to Ghana and played for the Ghanaian club Bechem United in the Poly Tank Second Division before going to DC United Agogo in Asante Akim . In 2010 he completed a trial training at US Palermo and signed a contract there after successfully completing the sports medicine examination.
In the second half of the 2010/11 season , Acquah made his Serie A debut for US Palermo . For the 2012/13 season he was awarded to FC Parma . On January 24, 2013, he moved to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . In the summer of 2013 he was awarded again to Parma FC. For the 2014/15 season , the loan was extended for another year. The loan ended in early February 2015 and Acquah was loaned to Sampdoria Genoa until the end of the season , for whom he appeared ten times in Serie A and scored one goal.
For the season 2015/16 Acquah moved to Turin FC .
National team
Acquah made his international debut for Ghana on February 29, 2012 against Chile . In qualifying for the 2013 African Cup of Nations, he scored his first international goal for Ghana against Malawi on October 13, 2012.
On May 13, 2014, he was appointed to the squad of the Ghanaian national soccer team for the 2014 World Cup .
