Agnes Mary "Agatha" Morton (born March 6, 1872 in Halstead , Essex , † April 5, 1952 in Kensington , London ) was a British tennis player from England .

Career

Agatha Morton reached the final of the Wimbledon Championships in 1908 and 1909 , but lost it in 1908 to Charlotte Cooper and in 1909 to Dora Boothby . In 1914 she finally won the doubles competition held for the second time at Wimbledon with her doubles partner Elizabeth Ryan against Edith Hannan and Ethel Larcombe 6: 1, 6: 3. At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , she missed a medal. She lost the quarter-finals against Dorothea Douglass-Chambers 2: 6, 3: 6.
