Penelope Dora Harvey Boothby (born August 2, 1881 in Finchley , Middlesex , England , † February 22, 1970 in Hammersmith , London , married Dora Geen ) was a British badminton and tennis player .

Life

In 1908 she took part in the tennis competition at the Olympic Games in London and, due to the draw, she reached the individual turf finals without a fight. There she was defeated by the later Olympic champion Dorothea Douglass-Chambers .

In 1909 she was able to defeat Agnes Morton in the final of the All-Comers competition at the Wimbledon Championships . Since last year's winner Charlotte Cooper did not defend her title, she was awarded the title. She was successful in doubles in 1913.

In badminton she won the All England in mixed with Albert Davis Prebble in 1909 . In 1914 she married Arthur C. Geen.
