The 33rd edition of the Wimbledon Championships took place in 1909 on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Worple Road.
The spectator area of the Center Court was expanded by 600 seats this year. Due to persistent rain, the tournament had to be extended into the third week.
Men's singles
Arthur Gore defended his Challenge Round title against Josiah Ritchie . At 41 years and 182 days, he was the oldest winner in the men's singles.
Ladies singles
Dora Boothby won her only title with a win over Agnes Morton .
Men's doubles
Arthur Gore and Herbert Roper Barrett defeated Stanley Doust and Harry Parker in the final .
