The 58th edition of the Wimbledon Championships took place in 1938 on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Church Road.

Don Budge again won all three competitions in which he competed. He was also the first player to win all four Grand Slam tournaments that year .

Men's singles

Don Budge defeated Henry Austin in three sets in the final .

Ladies singles

Helen Wills Moody won her eighth and final individual title at Wimbledon. This record was only exceeded in 1990 by Martina Navrátilová . Helen Jacobs reached the final as the first unseeded player since the seed list was introduced in 1927 .

Men's doubles

Don Budge and Gene Mako defended their title in the men's doubles .

Ladies doubles

Sarah Fabyan and Alice Marble were successful in women's doubles .

Mixed

As in the previous year, Alice Marble and Don Budge won the mixed competition .
