The 25th edition of the Wimbledon Championships took place in 1901 on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Worple Road. With 30 players, the women's field was bigger than ever before.
Men's singles
Arthur Gore won his first of three Wimbledon titles by defeating defending champion Reginald Doherty .
Ladies singles
In the women's category, Charlotte Cooper won her fourth title. She defeated Blanche Bingley-Hillyard in the Challenge Round in straight sets.
Men's doubles
The Doherty brothers beat the Americans Dwight Filley Davis and Holcombe Ward 4: 6, 6: 2, 6: 3 and 9: 7 in the Challenge Round .
