Arthur Gore won his first of three Wimbledon titles by defeating defending champion Reginald Doherty .

Ladies singles

Women's finals, Bingley-Hillyard versus Cooper

In the women's category, Charlotte Cooper won her fourth title. She defeated Blanche Bingley-Hillyard in the Challenge Round in straight sets.

Men's doubles

The Doherty brothers beat the Americans Dwight Filley Davis and Holcombe Ward 4: 6, 6: 2, 6: 3 and 9: 7 in the Challenge Round .
