Australian Open French Open Wimbledon Championships US Open

The 100th Wimbledon Championships took place from June 23 to July 6, 1986 in London , Great Britain . The host was the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club .

As in the previous year, the winners in the individual competitions were Boris Becker for the men and Martina Navrátilová for the women.

Navrátilová won the women's singles for the fifth time in a row and won the doubles title for the sixth time - this time alongside Pam Shriver . However, she was unable to defend her previous mixed title. She failed with Heinz Günthardt as partner in the final to Ken Flach and Kathy Jordan .

In men's doubles, the Swede Mats Wilander won his only Grand Slam title in doubles and his only Wimbledon title at the side of his compatriot Joakim Nyström .

Among the juniors, the later world number two and Australian Open winner Petr Korda was on the list of winners for the first time . He won the junior double title alongside Tomás Carbonell .
