The 16th edition of the Wimbledon Championships took place in 1892 on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Worple Road. In the men's All-Comers competition, there were 27 participants, and seven in the women's event. While the women's and double tournaments only started after the men's individual tournaments had ended, this year, for the first time, all tournaments took place side by side during the entire period.
Men's singles
The defending champion Wilfred Baddeley prevailed in the Challenge Round in four sets against Joshua Pim , who had previously won the All-Comers final against Ernest Lewis . Baddeley won his second title with it.
Ladies singles
Charlotte Dod won her fourth title with a win in the All-Comers final against Blanche Bingley-Hillyard .
Men's doubles
In the Challenge Round , Ernest Lewis and Harry Barlow prevailed against the defending champions Wilfred and Herbert Baddeley 4: 6, 6: 2, 8: 6 and 6: 4.
