The 49th edition of the Wimbledon Championships took place in 1929 on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Church Road.

Due to the high demand for tickets, additional seats were added to the Center Court and Court No. 1 built. For the first time electronic scoreboards were used.

Men's singles

In the men's category, Henri Cochet won his second title after 1927.

Ladies singles

Helen Wills Moody won her third title in a row. In the final, she beat Helen Jacobs in straight sets.

Men's doubles

Wilmer Allison and John van Ryn won the men's doubles .

Ladies doubles

As in the previous year, Phoebe Watson and Peggy Saunders won the women's doubles title.

Mixed

Helen Wills Moody and Frank Hunter were successful in mixed .
