Henri Cochet
Henri Cochet (born December 14, 1901 in Villeurbanne , † April 1, 1987 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye ) was a French tennis player .
Together with his compatriots Jean Borotra , Jacques Brugnon and René Lacoste, he was one of the formative tennis players of the 1920s and early 1930s. These players became famous as " The Four Musketeers ". In 1928 he replaced Bill Tilden as number 1 in tennis.
Cochet won eight individual Grand Slam titles in France , the United States and England ; in Australia he could never win a tournament. He also won the Davis Cup six times in a row with the French team .
