Kathryn "Kathy" Jordan (born December 3, 1959 in Bryn Mawr , Pennsylvania ) is a former American tennis player . Her sister Barbara Jordan was also a professional tennis player.

Career

Kathy Jordan was particularly successful in doubles in her career. She won 41 tournaments, including a title at each of the four Grand Slam tournaments together with Anne Smith as a double partner . In 1980 the pair won the French Open and Wimbledon , and in 1981 the Australian Open and the US Open . In 1985 Jordan won the doubles competition at Wimbledon together with Elizabeth Smylie .

Her only tournament victory in singles, she won in 1982 at the indoor tournament in Boston . In 1983 she was in the final of the Australian Open , in which she was defeated by Martina Navrátilová .

In mixed she won with Ken Flach in 1986 both the French Open and Wimbledon titles .

From 1980 to 1985, Kathy Jordan played for the United States in the Federation Cup . In 1980 and 1981 she won the cup with the team. Your personal record of your 27 Fed Cup games: 6: 3 wins in singles and 17: 1 in doubles.
