Jenny Margaret Byrne (born February 25, 1967 in Perth ) is a former Australian tennis player .

Career

Byrne played on the professional tour from 1987 to 1997. In 1985 she won the junior competition at the Australian Open , and she also reached the junior finals at Wimbledon .

In 1989 she was in the mixed final of the Wimbledon Championships . She and Mark Kratzmann lost to the pairing Jana Novotná / Jim Pugh 4: 6, 7: 5 and 4: 6.

As a member of the Australian Olympic team, Byrne also played at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona .
