From 1987 to 1997 Winkler could be seen annually at the Berliner Jedermann-Festspiele in the role of the debt servant's wife , directed by Brigitte Grothum .

After the death of her husband, Agathe Winkler gave up acting and devoted herself to her hobby, painting. She returned to Leipzig, but had a studio in Charlottenburg until 2012 .
