Agnelo Rufino Gracias (born July 30, 1939 in Mombasa ) is an Indian clergyman and auxiliary bishop emeritus in Bombay .

Life

Agnelo Rufino Gracias was ordained a priest on December 21, 1962 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 13, 2001 auxiliary bishop in Bombay and titular bishop of Molicunza . The Archbishop of Bombay, Ivan Cardinal Dias , ordained him episcopal on April 21 of the same year; Co-consecrators were Simon Ignatius Cardinal Pimenta , Old Archbishop of Bombay, and Lorenzo Baldisseri , Apostolic Nuncio in India and Nepal .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on July 30, 2014.

On September 21, 2018 he was appointed Apostolic Administrator sede plena of the Diocese of Jalandhar . The jurisdiction of the diocesan bishop Franco Mulakkal has been suspended since then.
