Agustín Ignacio Orión (born June 26, 1981 in Ramos Mejía ) is an Argentine national football player who has been under contract with the CSD Colo-Colo since 2017 .
Club career
Agustín Orión began his career in the youth field of San Lorenzo , for which he was part of the professional squad for the first time in 2001. However, Orión did not make his league game debut until 2005 when he immediately became a regular goalkeeper. But he could not hold this position and was only back in goal as number 1 in 2007, where he promptly led his team to win the Clausura. After two years, Orión suffered a cruciate ligament injury, whereupon he fell behind.
Then Agustín Orión moved to Estudiantes de La Plata in 2010 . There he managed to win the Apertura 2010 after a short period of acclimatization. With Estudiantes he failed at the Copa Libertadores 2010 in the quarter-finals because of the away goals rule at the eventual winner SC Internacional . At the Copa Libertadores 2011 , Orión and his club also had to admit defeat on penalties in the round of 16, Club Cerro Porteño from Paraguay .
In 2011, Agustín Orión went to the Boca Juniors , where he was a regular goalkeeper.
National team career
Orión was appointed for the Copa America 2007 for the first time by national coach Alfio Basile as the third goalkeeper behind Roberto Abbondanzieri and Juan Pablo Carrizo in the Argentine squad.
In September 2011 Alejandro Sabella Orión nominated for the Copa Roca . There he played both games against Brazil .
