Juan Pablo Carrizo (born May 6, 1984 in Villa Constitución , Santa Fe Province ) is an Argentine football goalkeeper .

Player career

National

River Plate brought Juan Pablo Carrizo to the first team in 2005 at the age of 19 and quickly developed into a regular goalkeeper. On January 29, 2006, he made his professional debut in a 5-0 win over CA Tiro Federal and remained clean in the first game.

Carrizo was supposed to move to Lazio in 2007 , but a transfer failed because he could not take on a European citizenship as planned. In summer 2008 the transfer still worked.

Carrizo made his first game for Lazio in the Coppa Italia on August 23, 2008. On August 31, 2008 Carrizo made his Serie A debut in a 4-1 away win over Cagliari Calcio . After only one year at Lazio, the club's officials decided to lend the goalkeeper to the Spanish club Real Saragossa for the 2009/10 season . In the summer of 2010, Carrizo returned to Argentina to join his hometown club River Plate.

In January 2013, Carrizo moved to Inter Milan on loan . Although Carrizo was only used once as a substitute goalkeeper at Inter in the 2012/13 season , the club announced on July 5, 2013 that the Argentine's contract had been extended by two years until June 30, 2015.

In the summer of 2017, Carrizo moved from Inter Milan to CF Monterrey .

International

After Carrizo had already played in the U-17 , U-20 and U-23 for Argentina, he was promoted to the senior national team in 2007 and was in goal at the 2007 Copa America , in which he and his team reached the final, however, Brazil was defeated there.
