Ahmet Şahin (born March 22, 1978 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper .
Career
Ahmet Şahin started his professional career at Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor . There he played for four seasons and in 2001 moved to the then first division club Kocaelispor . The clubs followed: Diyarbakırspor , Istanbul BB, Trabzonspor , Adanaspor and Samsunspor . With Samsunspor, he rose to the Süper Lig in the 2010/11 season .
He has been under contract with Sanica Boru Elazığspor since January 9, 2012 . With Elazığspor he also creates promotion to the Süper Lig. For the winter break of the 2012/13 season he left Elazığspor. A few days after leaving Elazığspor, he moved to the third division Balıkesirspor . With this club he ended the 2012/13 season as a third division champion and thus rose to the TFF 1st Lig .
In spring 2014 Şahin moved to Mersin İdman Yurdu within the TFF 1st Lig . Here he immediately took over the regular goalkeeping post and played almost all of his team's competitive games by the end of the season.
Despite the promotion, Şahin Mersin left İY in the summer of 2014 and switched to the second division Osmanlıspor FK instead .
In summer 2016 he and his teammates Mahmut Akan and Serdar Deliktaş moved to the new first division club Kardemir Karabükspor .
