Ahmet Güven (born August 15, 1985 in Samsun ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Güven started club soccer in 2000 in the youth of his home club Samsunspor . Because he was not offered a professional contract here, Güven moved to Istanbul's second division club Maltepespor in 2005 . Here he played for one and a half seasons, during which he was mostly on the bench and only played four league games per season. Then Güven hired for the winter break 2006/07 at the capital club Etimesgut Şekerspor . At this club, he immediately made the leap into the starting eleven. For the 2008/09 season Güven was loaned to the league competitor Erzurumspor . At Erzurumspor he scored ten goals in 19 league games until the winter break. This performance prompted his club to bring Güven back to the second half of the season early. Güven also continued his form high at Şekerspor and scored 13 more goals by the end of the season. This made Güven one of the most successful goal scorers of the season. In the next season, the 2009/10 season , Güven kept his scoring qualities and with 26 goals was again one of the most successful goal scorers of the season.

Due to his performance in the last two seasons, several clubs in the upper leagues became aware of Güven and tried to sign him. Güven came to an agreement with the second division club Orduspor and switched to the TFF 1. Lig with a three-year contract in the summer of 2010 . At Orduspor it was only used hesitantly. At the end of the season, however, he was playoff winner with his club and thus rose to the Süper Lig . After this success, Orduspor advised Güven to terminate his contract. Güven agreed to the dissolution and moved to the third division Şanlıurfaspor for the new season . At this club he convinced right away and with his 17 league goals he played a major role in the fact that his club rose to the TFF 1st Lig as champions of the TFF 2nd Lig .

After the rise with Şanlıurfaspor, he left Urfa after the expiry of his one-year contract and moved within the league to Polatlı Bugsaşspor . In the summer of 2013, Güven joined the second division team Ankaraspor with his teammates Muhammed Bayır and Galip Güzel . His previous club was the second club of Ankaraspor. For the second half of the 2013/14 season he was loaned to Keçiörengücü .
