Ahn Jae-hong (born March 31, 1986 in Busan , South Korea ) is a South Korean actor .
Life
Ahn Jae-hong began his film career in 2009 with short films. In 2011 he got a small role in The Day He Arrives by Hong Sang-soo , which was invited to the Cannes International Film Festival. In 2012 he played a leading role in the youth independent film Sunshine Boys , which was shown at the Busan International Film Festival . In 2013 he worked again with Hong Sang-soo for a supporting role in Haewon and the Men . He then played the lead role in the sports comedy The King of Jokgu (2013), where Jokgu is a mix of soccer and volleyball. For the film, he received the Wildflower Award for best actor , a prize for independent films. Through the film Ahn received some attention in the South Korean film industry and he received numerous roles in major productions from then on.
Ahn's breakthrough year is 2015, when he starred in the television series Reply in 1988 . This nostalgia - Drama became one of the most successful series of South Korean television history. He has also landed roles in the films C'est si bon , Twenty , Coin Locker Girl and The Sound of a Flower . In 2017 he worked again with Hong Sang-soo for the film On the Beach at Night Alone . He also played other leading roles in the futuristic action film Fabricated City , the period comedy The King's Case Note and the television series Fight for My Way .
