Aichkirchen is a parish village in the municipality of Hemau in the district of Regensburg in Bavaria . Aichkirchen was the seat of the municipality of the same name until 1978 .
history
Aichkirchen was a side church of the parish Hohenschambach, which was mentioned for the first time in a deed of gift from Heinrich II dated November 1, 1007. The current parish church in Aichkirchen dates from the 15th century and was expanded in a new Romanesque style in 1878/79. The community of Aichkirchen came into being with the Bavarian community edict of 1818 and included the places Aichkirchen, Aicha , Bügerl, Bügerlleithen, Grafenstadl, Kumpfhof, Lautersee and Oberhöfen. On May 1, 1978, the community of Aichkirchen was incorporated into Hemau.
