Hohenschambach is a parish village in the municipality of Hemau in the district of Regensburg in Bavaria . Until 1978, Hohenschambach was the seat of the municipality of the same name .
history
Scambah is mentioned for the first time in a deed of gift from Henry II dated November 1, 1007. The parish church in Hohenschambach was rebuilt from 1759 to 1764 after it was completely burned down in a village fire in 1758. The community of Hohenschambach was created with the Bavarian community edict of 1818 and included the places Hohenschambach, Bachmühle, Grafenöd, Kochenthal, Neuhäusl, Pittmannsdorf (Bittmannsdorf), Schacha and Thonhausen. On May 1, 1978, the community of Hohenschambach was incorporated into Hemau.
Attractions
The list of architectural monuments includes the Catholic parish church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary , the rectory, a house figure of St. Florian and a stone cross listed.
