Laufenthal is a village in the municipality of Hemau in the district of Regensburg in Bavaria . Laufenthal was the seat of the municipality of the same name until 1978 .

history

Laufenthal was the seat of a Hofmark , which was built at the beginning of the 12th century by the lords of Laufenthal. From 1712 it was owned by the von Geyer family. The community of Laufenthal came into being with the Bavarian community edict of 1818. On July 1, 1894, Beilnstein was incorporated. On May 1, 1978 the community of Laufenthal was incorporated into Hemau, Beilstein came to Beratzhausen .

Attractions

The list of architectural monuments includes Laufenthal Castle and the Catholic branch church and former castle chapel St. Ottilia.
