The village of Klingen is part of the town of Hemau in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg .

geography

Klingen is just under two kilometers southeast of the center of Hemau and is at an altitude of 506  m above sea level. NHN in the eastern part of the southern Franconian Alb .

history

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the village became an independent rural community, which also includes the village of Netzstall , the hamlets of Arnest , Hamberg , Hennhüll , Mantlach , Stadla and Winkl , and the deserted courtyards , Thalhof and Wolflier belonged. At the beginning of the communal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , the districts of Berg, Mantlach and Netzstall were spun off from the municipality of Klingen and on July 1, 1972, the municipality was transferred to Painten. The remaining part of the community of Klingen was then incorporated into the city of Hemau on May 1, 1978. At the end of the 1980s, Klingen had 141 residents.

The connection to the public road network is established by several local roads, one of which leads over the Grabenweg in a north-westerly direction to the state road St 2660, which is about one and a half kilometers away, and the outskirts of Hemau, which begins immediately behind it.
