The station Niederstetten is an operating agency of the railway line Crailsheim-Königshofen . It is located in Niederstetten in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

The station was built around 1870. In 2014 the sandstone building in need of renovation was sold to a private person from Niederstetten at an auction in Berlin for the minimum bid of 48,000 euros.

From 2015, extensive renovation work took place in the station and signal box . In 2019 the station received a modern central signal box.

Investments

The station still has two platform tracks, the first having a side platform (house platform), the second an intermediate platform. The former loading tracks in the north of the station have been dismantled and the site is partially built over.

Monument protection

The former reception building is located at Bahnhofstrasse 1 and is a listed building. It is a solid construction with side wings and a central, polygonal protruding open pillared porch. The building is part of the whole of the Bad Mergentheim – Crailsheim railway line: Württemberg Taubertal Railway with stations, ancillary buildings, bridges, track systems and all stationary and movable accessories.
