history

The name says that the place was already expanded by the Agilolfingers . In 1311 Bishop Konrad von Regensburg transferred a court to Konrad the Aigelchovaer. Aiglkofen is mentioned in the 15th century together with the neighboring Gindlkofen as Hofmark owned by the Frauenbergers . In the year of conscription in 1752, Aiglkofen consisted of six properties as part of the Hofmark Marklkofen .

The place was partly subordinate to the district court Vilsbiburg , and partly to the district court Dingolfing . Until 1972, the border between the Vilsbiburg district and the Dingolfing district ran here .
