Air Côte d'Ivoire is the national airline of the Ivory Coast , based in Abidjan and based at Abidjan Airport .
history
Air Côte d'Ivoire was founded in 2011 as the successor company to Air Ivoire . The company was built up with the help of Air France , so the fleet largely consists of former Air France aircraft and its subsidiary Hop! . The owners of the company are the state with 65%, Air France-KLM with 20% and Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development with 15%.
In April 2016 it was announced that Air Côte d'Ivoire was the first African airline to order two new Airbus A320neo .
In July 2020, the airline received US $ 24 million from the government to keep its flight operations. Air Côte d'Ivoire got into financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
