Air France Hop ( proper spelling Air France HOP ) is a French regional airline based in Bouguenais and based at Nantes Atlantique Airport . It is a subsidiary of Air France .
history
Air France HOP was created on March 31, 2013 from the merger of the regional companies Airlinair , Brit Air and Regional Airlines under the brand name HOP !. It should react to the competition from the various low-cost airlines such as easyJet or Ryanair . The management was taken over by the former Airlinair PDG , Lionel Guérin. The first flight took place on March 31, 2013 from Paris-Orly to Perpignan .
In 2016, the three companies involved went under the Hop! on.
On February 1, 2019, the company was renamed Air France HOP and thus more closely based on the market presence of the parent company.
Pierre-Olivier Bandet, who previously worked for Air France, has been heading the company since July 1, 2019.
Destinations
Air France HOP operates numerous national and European regional and feeder flights on behalf of the parent company Air France , since September 2019 exclusively under their flight numbers.
There are flights to Basel , Bremen , Düsseldorf , Frankfurt , Hamburg , Hanover , Nuremberg and Stuttgart in German-speaking countries and Geneva in French-speaking Switzerland .
