New Axis Airways was a French airline based in Marseille . She operated air freight and charter flights for European travel companies.
history
The forerunner of the airline was founded as Sinair in Grenoble . In June 2000, its parent company Pan European Air Services sold the airline to Axis Partners , who renamed the company Axis Airways in February 2001 and set up a new headquarters in Marseille .
Axis Airways filed for bankruptcy in October 2006. With new funding from a group of investors, Axis Airways was able to resume flight operations in December 2006. At that time, Axis Airways employed 73 people.
In 2008 the airline was given a new name: New Axis Airways . Shares in the ownership were held by Etoile de La Valentine (26%), Arkia Israeli Airlines (20%), Gamma Travel (13%), ISF (35%) and Sarah Tours (6%).
At the end of 2009, New Axis Airways ceased flight operations.
