Air Saint-Pierre is a French airline based in Saint-Pierre on Saint-Pierre and Miquelon and based at St. Pierre Airport .
history
In the founding year 1964, flight operations began with a Douglas DC-3 leased by Eastern Provincial Airways . With a Piper PA-23 it was possible to establish its own fleet in 1966. In the following years a Beechcraft Model 18 and a Douglas DC-3 were added. The DC-3 was replaced in 1986 by an Avro 748 , the Aztec by a Piper PA-31-350 Navajo Chieftain .
Destinations
The first and later the main route is the connection between the islands of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon Airport on Miquelon-Langlade . The following connections were added later.
Air Saint-Pierre now offers flights to Montreal , Halifax , Moncton , New Brunswick and Saint John (New Brunswick) from St. Pierre Airport .
Direct flights to Europe began in early 2018 with the support of the French government and in conjunction with ASL Airlines France . In the summer of 2018, a total of 8 flights to Paris were carried out with the Boeing 737-700, and 12 were planned for the summer of 2019. Due to the short runway, the number of passengers is limited to 100.
