Incidents

Proteus Airlines has one accident with fatalities:

On July 30, 1998, a Beechcraft 1900D operated by Proteus Airlines and a private Reims Cessna F177RG Cardinal collided over the Bay of Quiberon . Both planes broke apart in the air and crashed into the sea. There were no survivors. A total of 15 people died on board the two aircraft in the accident. ( Proteus Airlines Flight 706 )

The reasons for the collision were, on the one hand, the behavior of the Beechcraft crew, as they deviated from the course, switched from instruments to visual flight and disregarded the Cessna's right of way, and on the other hand, the fact that the pilots of both aircraft were not looking enough for other machines held.
