Alas abiertas is a Mexican film by the film director Luis Lezama from 1921. The silent film belongs to the adventure film genre. A novel by Alfonso Teja Zabre serves as a template for the film .

content

The story is told by Capitán Téllez and Lieutenant Doria, who have just completed their training as pilots . They are used in the fight against the rebels in Pachuca de Soto . Doria is wounded during the night and then cared for by Marina, the daughter of the rebel leader Canillas. Both Doria and Marina are hunted by the rebels, but are rescued by Téllez, who flies them out and brings them to safety.

Production notes

Moisés Viñas co-directed Ernesto Vollrath in his work Índice cronológico del cine mexicano . Cadets of the Escuela de Aviación worked on the film . It was produced by Ediciones Gérman Camus and was shot in Pachuca de Soto. According to Emilio Garciá Riera , Alas abiertas was released under the title With Wings Outspread , using English subtitles and names for actors and film crew.

The film premiered on May 6, 1921 in Mexico.
