Alastair Reynolds
Alastair Preston Reynolds (* 13. March 1966 in Barry , UK ) is a Welsh science fiction - author .
biography
Reynolds was born in Barry in South Wales in 1966. He grew up in Cornwall . He later studied physics and astronomy at Newcastle University . In 1991 he moved to the Netherlands , where he met his future wife Josette, who was born in France. Until April 2004 he worked as a scientist for the European Space Agency (ESA) . Since then he has devoted himself full-time to writing. Reynolds specialized in hard science fiction and space operas . The German-language book editions of his novels and short stories have been published by Heyne Verlag . Reynolds has lived in Wales again since 2008.
