Albert Focke

Albert Wilhelm Focke (born May 18, 1947 in Billerbeck ; † June 5, 2014 in Vechta ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Albert Focke first attended a Catholic elementary school before moving to grammar school in 1958, where he graduated from high school in 1967. In 1968 he began studying law in Marburg . In 1975 he passed the first state examination in Hamm and the second in Wiesbaden in 1977 . He then worked for the community of Waldbrunn before he became an advisor to the mayor of Hochheim , Gottfried Gensch. In 1978 he joined the CDU. In 1982 he moved to Oldenburger Münsterland , where he became the department head for legal, regulatory and social affairs in the city of Cloppenburg . From 1984 to 1989 he was deputy city director there. From 1989 to 1998 he was district director, from 1998 senior district director and from 2001 until his death in 2014, district administrator of the Vechta district . In the 2001 election it reached 61.70%. In 2006 he was re-elected with 68.18%. In 2013 Focke fell ill with cancer, from which he died in 2014.
