Albert III of arch
Albert III (Also known as Adalbert III ., Albrecht III. , according to another counting method Albert IV. or Adalbert IV. ) (* July 19, 1165 , † December 20, 1197 ) was a count of Bogen and Windberg and Vogt vonprüfunging, Oberaltaich and Windberg. He was the only son and heir of Count Berthold II von Bogen (* around 1125; † March 21, 1167) and his wife Liutgard von Burghausen (* 1145; † December 24, 1195).
In 1168 Albert III. Vogt of the Windberg Monastery , around 1180 Vogt of Checking Monastery and around 1190 Vogt of Oberalteich Monastery . Because of a dispute with the monastery in Niederaltaich, he built a castle there in 1180. Albert III followed Henry VI. to the crusade where he died.
Marriage and offspring
Albert III married Ludmilla von Böhmen in 1184 (* around 1170; † August 4, 1240 in Landshut), daughter of Friedrich of Böhmen . With her he had three sons, with whom the Counts of Bogen died out:
- Berthold IV. († 1218, fallen), Count von Bogen, ∞ Kunigunde von Hirschberg († 1249)
- Albert IV. († 1242), Count von Bogen, ∞ Richza von Dillingen
- Leopold († 1219), was provost of the old chapel in Regensburg
