Albert de Lange (* 1952 in Zwolle , Netherlands) is a Dutch - German Protestant theologian and church historian .

Life

De Lange studied Protestant theology in Kampen / NL from 1970 to 1977 . From 1986 to 1990 he worked as a historian at the Società di Studi Valdesi in Torre Pellice in Italy. Since 1990 he has lived as a freelance church historian in Germany. The focus of research is the history of the Waldensians in modern times. He received his doctorate in 1987 from the University of Kampen on Johannes Hermanus Gunning (1829–1905). He published numerous independent and dependent works in Dutch, Italian and German, especially on the Waldensians. He is often active as an editor and editor of scientific books and popular scientific writings.

De Lange has been married to a German Protestant theologian since 1983.
