Albert von Ploetz

Friedrich Wilhelm Albert von Ploetz (born July 18, 1803 in Klein Weckow , Cammin district ; † March 3, 1876 in Groß Weckow , Cammin district) was a Prussian landowner , district administrator and politician.

Life

origin

He came from the old Pomeranian noble family Ploetz , who came with Roloff de Plocech in 1290 after the sale of Lüdershagen to the city of Stralsund from the Principality of Rügen to Western Pomerania .

Career

Ploetz was the landlord of Groß Weckow , Schinchow , Gnageland, Deuthin and Kirsteinsdorf. He founded the Fideikommiss Groß Weckow with Schinchow and the Fideikommiss Deuthin.

Ploetz began as a judge at the city court of Frankfurt (Oder) , then went to a court in Stettin , was given the title of " Secret Judicial Councilor " and left the judicial service in 1842. He then managed his estates and was from 1842 to 1848 district administrator of the Cammin district . He was a legal knight of the Order of St. John .

From 1850 he was a member of the First Chamber and from 1854 of the Prussian mansion. He came to the Prussian mansion after the presentation of the old and fortified properties in the Cammin and Western Pomerania district . He was temporarily chairman of his parliamentary group ( right center ) and also vice-president of the manor house. He was one of the leading conservative politicians.

family

Ploetz married on October 8, 1833 on Gut Groß-Weckow Alexandrine von Berg (* 12 May 1813 - † 3 December 1859 on Gut Groß-Weckow), the daughter of the landowner Carl von Berg , landlord on Cartlow, Schinchow and Groß- Weckow, and Christine von Owstin (Haus Jamitzow). The oldest son from this marriage was the Prussian landowner and landscape director Paul von Ploetz (1839–1915).
