Ernst-Matthias von Köller

Ernst-Matthias von Köller (born November 30, 1797 , † May 23, 1883 ) was a Prussian politician and general landscape director of Pomerania .

Life

Matthias came from the Pomeranian noble family Köller and was the son of Hans Georg Alexander Friedrich von Köller , general landscape director of Pomerania, and Eleonore Possern. In 1812 he attended the Royal Pedagogy in Halle (Saale) . During the Wars of Liberation in 1815 he was a member of the 2nd Leib-Hussar Regiment . From 1815/16 he studied law in Berlin . In 1819 he became an auscultator in Stettin . As a higher regional court trainee a. D. From 1820 he managed the inherited Jasenitz estate . From 1833 to 1837 he was district administrator in the Randow district . In 1837 he sold Jasenitz.

In 1838 he acquired the Kantreck estate near Gollnow . Later he also owned the Karow, Reckow, Moratz and Görke estates .

In 1847 Köller became General Councilor of the Pomeranian Landscape . From 1862 to 1883 he was this general landscape director. In 1869 he was given the title of Real Privy Councilor . He was also General Director of the Old Pomeranian Estate and Fire Society.

From 1849/50 he belonged to the First Chamber of the Prussian Landtag . When the Prussian mansion took its place , Köller became a member of the Prussian mansion, to which he belonged until his death, in 1854, following the presentation of the old and fortified properties in the Cammin and Western Pomerania district . In 1876 he was chairman of the Pomeranian Provincial Parliament .

After the order of the crown was denied to him in 1877, he received it in 1879 in the first class.

family

Matthias von Köller was married to Juliane Mathilde von Wedel (1803-1859) from the House of Blankensee, a daughter of Captain Ernst David Ludwig von Wedel (1757-1827) and Henriette Juliane Louise von Burghagen (1775-1835). Her children included:

After the death of his first wife, he married Marie von Platen (* 1830) on November 19, 1867, a daughter of Major C. von Platen and Sophie Juliane von Köller.
