Christoph von Poniński

Christoph Heinrich Ludwig Graf von Poniński (* July 15, 1802 in Siebeneichen , Löwenberg district , † May 5, 1876 in Breslau ) was a Prussian district administrator, manor owner and politician.

Life

Christoph Graf von Poniński came from the Polish noble family Poniński with the coat of arms Łodzia and was the son of Ignatz August Graf von Poniński and Friederike Charlotte Countess von Dohna-Vianen . In 1832 he married Bernhardine Wilhelmine Amalie Countess von Dohna-Schlodien.

In 1822 he began studying law in Heidelberg and became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . In 1828 he worked at the 3rd City Court in Breslau and from 1840-1851 district administrator of the Löwenberg district . In 1851 he became district administrator of the Randow district in the province of Pomerania , but in 1851 he switched to the Interior Department in Potsdam , from where he was appointed vice-president of the government in Breslau in 1867 .

Christoph Graf von Poniński was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1849 to 1851 . In the 1840s he owned the manors Lauterseiffen, Radmannsdorf and Siebeneichen in the Löwenberg district.
