Karl Georg Wilhelm von Krause

Karl Georg Wilhelm Krause , from 1787 von Krause , (born October 28, 1761 in Pritzlow ; † August 19, 1832 ibid) was a Pomeranian landowner, Prussian politician and district administrator of the Randow district .

Life

Karl Georg Wilhelm Krause was a son of the domain councilor Karl Georg Wilhelm Krause. After attending the Academic Gymnasium in Szczecin , he studied at the University of Halle . He then entered the civil service and worked at the War and Domain Chamber in Stettin. After the death of his father, however, he broke off this career in order to devote himself to the management of the Pritzlow estate . In 1787 he was raised to the Prussian nobility by King Friedrich Wilhelm II .

In 1795 he was elected as the successor to Carl von Massow to the district administrator of the Randow district and to the deputy of the district for the Pomeranian landscape . During the French era , he advocated meeting the occupying power's demands “preferably through payments in kind.” In 1810, he was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle, 3rd class , for his services . In the same year he was elected Landscape Director of the Western Pomeranian Department of the Pomeranian Landscape. In 1822 he was elected to the Commission for the Repayment of War Debts. In 1823 he became a knight of the Order of St. John . From that year until his death he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania .

He and his wife (⚭ 1794), who came from the von der Osten family, had two sons and two daughters.
