Wiejkówko ( German Klein Weckow ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . It belongs to the Gmina Wolin (city and rural community Wollin) in the Powiat Kamieński (Camminer district) .
Geographical location
The village is located in Western Pomerania , about 40 km north of Stettin and about 20 km south of the district town of Kamień Pomorski (Cammin) .
The village is away from the major roads. The closest neighboring towns are Siniechowo (Schinchow ) in the southwest, Koniewo (Kunow) in the west and Wiejkowo (Groß Weckow) in the north . The coast of the Szczecin Lagoon lies about 4 kilometers to the west .
history
Klein Weckow was a fiefdom of the noble von Knuth family . The last male family member, Caspar Henning von Knuth, obtained the allodification of the property in 1763 . After his death, Klein Weckow fell to one of his daughters, who was married to a Bernhard Ludwig von Ploetz, whereby Klein Weckow came to the noble von Ploetz family.
Around 1780 there was an arable farm in Klein Weckow, that is, the farm, a sheep farm, a water mill, four farms and four cottages, a total of 18 households ("fireplaces"). Klein Weckow belonged to the Flemming circle at that time .
Until 1945 Klein Weckow formed a place to live in the rural community Weckow in the district of Cammin i. Pom.
In 1945, Klein Weckow, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. It received the Polish place name "Wiejkówko".
