Jarzębowo ( German  Jarmbow ) is a place in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in northwestern Poland . It belongs to the Gmina Wolin (Wollin municipality) in the Kamieński powiat (Camminer district) .

Geographical location

Jarzębowo is located on the island of Wolin (Wollin) on the Dziwna (Dievenow) , eight kilometers north of the city of Wolin (Wollin) and ten kilometers southwest of the district town of Kamień Pomorski (Cammin i. Pom.) .

history

From 1816 to 1945 Jarmbow formed a rural community in the Usedom-Wollin district of the Prussian province of Pomerania . There were no other named places to live in the community. In 1910 there were 221 inhabitants in Jarmbow; in 1925 there were 226 inhabitants in 44 households.

Jarzębowo has been part of Poland since 1945.
