history
The city of Wollin acquired Darsewitz and the neighboring Klein Mokratz in 1301 from the Pomeranian Duke Bogislaw IV. In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemann's description of Prussian Western Pomerania (1779), Darsewitz is listed as one of two city-owned villages of Wollin . At that time there were seven farmers, one Kossät and two Büdner.
Darsewitz formed a rural community in the Prussian district of Usedom-Wollin until 1945 . There were no other named places to live in the community. In 1910 there were 124 inhabitants in Darsewitz; in 1925 there were 108 inhabitants in 20 households.
In 1945 the village came to Poland and was given the Polish place name "Darzowice". The village has a population of around 40 people.
